1. How far are you from the Yosemite National Park entrance?

We're just 13 scenic miles from the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park! That’s about a 20-minute drive—perfect for early park adventures. Learn more about how to get into Yosemite.

2. What time is breakfast, and what’s on the menu?

Breakfast is served daily at 8 a.m., and trust us—you won’t want to miss it. Expect a fresh, homemade, hot breakfast with rotating menus and rotating china patterns in the Main house. Explore our breakfast and dining page.

3. Where do guests eat dinner around here?

4. What are you known for?

5. Is The Blackberry Inn adults only?

Yes, our inn is a peaceful, adults-only retreat. We welcome guests 13 and older so everyone can relax and unwind. 

6. Do I need a Yosemite reservation if I stay with you?

Maybe—but don’t worry, we’ll help you navigate the Yosemite vehicle reservation system, or help you avoid it altogether. Here’s how it works. See the green box at the top of our homepage

7. Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes! We have fast, free Wi-Fi across the property, so you can stay connected (or not—totally your call).

8. Can I see the stars at night?

Absolutely. With almost no light pollution, we’re a prime spot for stargazing and astrophotography. That's what makes our night sky magical.

9. What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4–7 p.m., and check-out is by 11 a.m. Need special arrangements? Just let us know!

10. What should I pack for a Yosemite trip?

Layers! Yosemite weather can vary wildly. We also recommend sturdy hiking shoes, a daypack, and your camera and/or mobile phone camera.

11. Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, we love animals but can’t accommodate pets.

12. Do you offer daily housekeeping?

Yes—our rooms are cleaned daily unless you request otherwise. We respect your privacy but love keeping things fresh.

13. Is there air conditioning and heat?

You bet! All rooms have individual heating and cooling units to keep you comfy year-round. See all our room amenities

14. What is the best time of year to visit?

Every season has its charm and we have activity guides for you. Spring brings waterfalls, summer brings long days, fall brings color, and winter brings peace.

15. What should I pack for a Yosemite trip?

We have ten unique guest rooms, including romantic suites with soaking tubs and electric fireplaces. Find your perfect room

16. Are your rooms all in the same building?

Nope! Rooms are spread across the Main House and the Ahwahnee Suites building—both quiet, charming, and surrounded by nature. Explore the property layout. Our property map is a 360 interactive map if you want to find out about a specific room.

17. Is there parking on-site?

Yes, and it’s free.  Each room has a parking spot so there’s no fisticuffs over parking.  No street parking worries here.

18. Do you have any special offers or packages?

Sometimes! We occasionally run seasonal promotions. Check our current specials

19. Can you help us plan our Yosemite hikes?

20. What’s the story behind The Blackberry Inn?

It all started in 2008 when Steve and Alex took a leap of faith and turned a dream into reality. Meet your innkeepers

21. Is there cell phone service at the inn?

It depends on your carrier—but we recommend using Wi-Fi calling or disconnecting and enjoying the peace.  Turn on Wi-Fi calling on your phone before driving to the inn so that you are within a cell service area.  Once you arrive at the inn you most likely can’t turn on WI-Fi calling.

22. What kind of wildlife will I see?

Birds, deer, coyote, wild turkey, maybe even a fox or bear if you're lucky (or cautious!). And did we mention the hummingbirds? More on our nature vibes in our photo gallery at the bottom of our summer activities page.

23. Do you have refrigerators or coffee makers in the rooms?

We sure do—plus filtered water, wine glasses, and fresh-baked cookies every day. See a full list of amenities.

Absolutely. We welcome all guests warmly and equally—just bring your love of nature and good food.
